WFM-260, Water Flow Massage

Water therapy and massage combine to create a wonderful and relaxing technique that is pampering and very healing. Especially effective for individuals who require deep muscle relaxation without invasive pressure. Contraindications, water safety, sanitation, and therapist body mechanics will be thoroughly covered. Students practice in the Academy’s therapy pool and local swimming pool. In addition, students learn the practice of stillness and water breathing in a grounded presence while floating their client in the water. Water Flow techniques include passive range of motion and gentle stretching.

40 Clock Hours / 3 Qtr. Credit Hours.

Prerequisite: Completion of 500 hour Massage Therapy Program or Instructor approval
