ARO-260, Aromatherapy

Enter the world of healing plant essences with this introductory aromatherapy course. Students learn the history of essential oils, taxonomy, botanical names, and chemotypes. This course covers the physiology of the olfactory system and the effect it has on the mind body relationship. Students learn to blend and apply oils to address a variety of health conditions. Introducing essential oils into a variety of modalities including massage, reflexology, and energy work will also be taught. The course work involves group interaction and hands-on practical application experiences.

Prerequisite: Completion of 500 hour Massage Therapy Program or Instructor approval
