State Licensure Requirements
Massage Therapy and Esthetics State Licensing Requirements
At the Academy of Natural Therapy, we understand the importance of meeting licensure requirements to ensure students are fully prepared for their careers in either massage therapy or esthetics. Below is an overview of how our program aligns with state regulations.
States Where Licensure Requirements Are Met:
The Academy of Natural Therapy meets the state licensure requirements for massage therapy and esthetics in the following ways:
- Colorado – Our programs are approved to meet state standards.
- Kansas and Wyoming – Currently, there are no specific licensure requirements for massage therapy or esthetics, so our Certificate Program fulfills the requirements in both states.
States Where Additional Requirements Apply:
- Nebraska – Our programs currently do not meet Nebraska’s licensure requirements for massage therapy or esthetics, as the state requires 1,000 teaching hours for massage and additional requirements for esthetics.
Determination of Licensure Requirements in Other States:
For states outside Colorado, Kansas, and Wyoming, the Academy of Natural Therapy has not formally determined state-specific licensure requirements for massage therapy or esthetics, as these can change frequently. We encourage students to review current state regulations on both massage and esthetics licensure and verify the latest requirements before enrolling.
